I’ve been busy as all get out lately, but when my wife emailed me today to ask if I could draw something for a preschooler who was scared to fly, I had to whip something up. Today I learned that feathers make great muttonchops, and I feel guilty when I draw a tail dragging T. rex, even in the service of being more anthropomorphic.
I’m such a nerd I do yoyo fan art in retro NES pixel style.
I bought a pack of moleskine notebooks at the airport before we boarded our plane back from Seattle, and drew this during boarding, take-off, and getting to a decent altitude. I would have drawn more, but my nerves needed some pokemon time. Also, the drink didn’t really help. Needed at least 2 more.
One of the preschoolers in the wife’s class requested I draw his cat, sight unseen. So he gets a pirate.
I’ve been unable to concentrate on anything today except for this guy. Finally got the nose licking Edmontosaur good enough to leave it alone. Anatomy, as always, is probably suspect. I need to go to the museum.
Just finished this yesterday. Good times.
I drew an Orcish Battle Cook. Haven’t drawn something this…meaty…in quite a while. Puns, right? Love it.
I’m obsessed with cow-like hadrosaurs cleaning out their nostrils with their tongues. I blame All Yesterdays. My anatomy is still absolute crap, but it’s fun applying some serious cartooning to dinosaurs. Hoping to do something with some real life and motion - this study still seems pretty stiff to me.
Being a freelance is basically asking for a sleep disorder.
